Who I can support:
As a therapist, I am best matched to helping early years and primary age children who present with:
Speech sound difficulties. This may include diagnoses of phonological delay/disorder, articulation disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (previously known Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia) or Inconsistent Phonological Disorder. I may also be able to support a child with speech difficulties related to cleft palate.
Understanding and/or spoken language difficulties (also known as “receptive” and “expressive” language difficulties). This may include children with a diagnosis of language difficulties/delay or Developmental Language Disorder as well as children who are experiencing language difficulties associated with another diagnosis e.g. Global Developmental Delay.
Social communication differences and Autism in the early years (up to 8 years). This may include children who are Gestalt Language Processors
Services Include:
Assessment and therapy at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, at the family home or within an educational setting such as school or nursery. Outdoor therapy is also available depending on the location.
I can travel to Calderdale including Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Todmorden, Sowerby Bridge, Elland and Halifax as well as Airedale including Keighley, Cullingworth, Oxenhope and Haworth.
